MISS UNIVERSE

Miss Universe is an annual international beauty pageant that is run by The Miss Universe Organization. Miss Universe and Miss USA are among the most recognized beauty pageants. The pageant was founded in 1952 by the California clothing company Pacific Mills, and is owned, along with Miss USA, by Donald Trump.

In 1998, Miss Universe, Inc., changed its name to the The Miss Universe Organization, and moved its headquarters from Los Angeles, California, to New York City in 1999. In 1998, the logo of Miss Universe – "the woman with stars" – was created, representing the beauty and responsibility of women around the Universe.  

The current Miss Universe is Paulina Vega of Colombia who was crowned on 25 January 2015 in Doral, Florida, USA. Traditionally, Miss Universe lives in New York City during her reign.

MISS WORLD

The Miss World pageant is the oldest surviving major international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Alongside its traditional rival, the Miss Universe contest, Miss World pageant is one of the two most recognized and publicized beauty contests in the world, and also boasts the largest number of participating countries.

The current Miss World is Rolene Strauss of South Africa who was crowned on 14 December 2014 in London, United Kingdom. Traditionally, Miss World lives in London during her reign.

MISS EARTH

Miss Earth is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness. Along with its rivals Miss Universe and Miss World, Miss Earth is one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitions to participate in the world finals and one of the most publicized beauty contests in the world. The reigning titleholders dedicate their year to promote specific projects and often address issues concerning the environment and other global issues through school tours, tree planting activities, street campaigns, coastal clean ups, speaking engagements, shopping mall tours, media guesting, environmental fair, storytelling programs, eco-fashion shows, and other environmental activities.

The Miss Earth winner is the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations. The Miss Earth Foundation also works with the environmental departments and ministries of participating countries, various private sectors and corporations, as well as Greenpeace and the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF).

Miss Earth is part of the Big Four international beauty pageants. The current Miss Earth is Jamie Herrell of the Philippines who was crowned on November 29, 2014. Traditionally, Miss Earth lives in Manila during her reign.

MISS INTERNATIONAL

Miss International (Miss International Beauty or The International Beauty Pageant) is an annual international beauty pageant held since 1960. Miss International is one of the largest beauty pageants in the world after Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss Earth contests in terms of the number of national-level competitions to participate in the world finals and one of the most publicized beauty contests in the world.

Miss International is part of the Big Four international beauty pageants. The current Miss International is Valerie Hernandez of Puerto Rico who was crowned on November 11, 2014 in Tokyo, Japan. Traditionally, Miss International lives in Tokyo during her reign.
